Jamshedpur, May 29: In a major crackdown, Jugsalai police raided the premises of Bajaj Agarbatti Company near Agrasen Bhawan on Ramtekri Road and seized a large quantity of counterfeit ‘High Voltage’ mosquito-repellent agarbattis (incense sticks). The company has been sealed and its director, Hitesh Bajaj, has been arrested.
The raid was conducted following a complaint by Vimal Agarwal, owner of Vinda Agarbatti Company, the original and licensed manufacturer of the ‘High Voltage’ brand. He alleged that fake versions of his brand were being manufactured and sold in the market, damaging both the company’s reputation and sales.

During the raid, police found a massive stock of fake incense sticks, prompting them to seal the factory. Preliminary investigations indicated that the company was operating without any license or brand authorization for an extended period.
Police also detained another individual for questioning and have begun evaluating the seized goods. They were investigating possible links to others involved in the illegal operation and were collecting forensic evidence related to trademark infringement.
Jugsalai Police Station in-Charge confirmed that an FIR had been registered under relevant sections based on the complaint, and further legal action was underway.
