Faction-ridden W Singhbhum BJP unit executive body meet deplores mudslinging

Chaibasa, June 25: West Singhbhum BJP held its executive body meeting at Madhvasabhagar Chaibasa on Saturday. The BJP district president Gobind Pathak chaired the meeting in the presence of Jharkhand Pradesh BJP vice-president Manju Rani.

The proceedings of the meeting began with lighting the ceremonial lamp and by paying floral tributes to the portrait of Shayama Prosad Mukherji .

Welcoming the BJP activists, party district president said, “We belong to a party that believes in unified nationality and the blending of religious harmony. We all must feel proud of the party.”

The district president added that the Narendra Modi government at the Center distributed three crore LPG cylinders to the poor people and constructed 3 lakh toilets in schools within a span of just two years.

Speaking on the occasion, TAC member J B Tubid said that party activists must be in touch with members through mobile phones and explain them the schemes of the government so that everyone can avail of the opportunity of the government schemes.

“Our party workers must be trained to carry forward the messages to the last man of the village. Meetings on 20-point program should be held with the collaboration of administration and planned should be made accordingly.

Tubid laid added, “We must protect the good officers and take action against the corrupt and incompetent officers. The monsoon season has come and the activists must convey the farmers to withdraw Rs. 5000 to buy seed and minerals for cultivation from their Jandhan scheme accounts.

He also said that MMDC is giving Rs 1100 crore to Jharkkhand and already Rs 100 crore has been released. “Fifty percent of the total amount would be invested in West Singhbhum and so our activists must have schemes in hand to utilize it for the public benefit.”

The TAC member informed that next Cabinet meeting is likely to be held at Chaibasa.

While explaining about the domicile policy, Tubid said that the domicile policy has been framed as per provisions in the Constitution and, according to the Constitution, any persons living in an area for ten years is entitled to be the domicile of that particular place. “The Opposition is misleading the public. The domicile policy will ultimately benefit the local people. Domicile here does not define the inhabitant of local people.”

Tubid asked the BJP activists to counter such unrealistic arguments of the Opposition and spread the true spirit of the domicile policy as it is going to benefit the local people. Tubid also demanded the review of the party’s defeat in the West Singhbhum district and the people those who did not work in the party interest should be replaced by new active party members.

Jharkhand Pradesh BJP vice-president said, “Our party workers should be well trained to explain the government schemes for the benefit of the mass. The party does not tolerate factionalism and mudslinging. Those who are involved in such activities should shun and work for the party interest.”

Senior BJP leader Anup Sultania, MD Barik, Sukharam Uraon and Badkunawar Gari raised the issues the ongoing party dispute between MP and BJP district president, which has badly spoiled the image in public domain and they appealed to the party vice-president to intervene and stop immediately and allow the party to work in unified manner.

A large number of party block presidents and activists were present, whereas MP Laxman Gilua and many of his supports did not participate in district president meeting.
