Megha, Saurav receives gold medals at KSMS Prize Nite

Jamshedpur, June 25: Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) celebrated its academic stars in the Prize Nite 2016 held in the school premises on Friday evening.

Col. Saurabh K. Sharma, Commanding Officer 891 FD REGT and his spouse, Shweta Sharma, graced the function as chief guest and the guest of honor respectively. The program felicitated academically excellent students from Std. 6 to Std. 12.

It also acknowledged All-rounder students namely, Priyanka Jha (Std. 10) marked by her good results, extra-curricular achievements and exemplary behavior.

The program began with a Saraswati Vandana followed by dance celebrating joy of victory. The program was conducted by Priyanka Jha and Sunidhi Sharma. The Annual Report of the year was presented by Nandini Shukla, principal of the school. The presentation was made by the school IT team.

Col. Saurabh Sharma in his address said, in order to recognize their dreams students must first recognize their inner-self. To recognize inner self he urged the students that ‘Mother, Father and Teachers are all representations of God, Respect them.’

ISC and ICSE board exam topper were also felicitated. The ISC Class 12 topper Megha Joshi was awarded a gold medal, the second place was bagged jointly by Saket Ringsia and Saurav Chakraborty. They received silver medals, while Pratik Kumar Agarwal was awarded the bronze medal for bagging third position.

In ICSE, Soham Maity and Harjot Singh Chawla received the gold medal, Swastika Chetani, lshika Pawa and Jessica Srivastava jointly received silver medal for securing second position, while Satyam Tilwani bagged the bronze medal for securing third rank in the ICSE exam.

Sports Awards were presented to Asfia Shiraz, Afaque Karim, Shayan Hassan, Aditi Ringsia and Manoranjan Singh.
Perseverance Award was received by Deep Raj Das. Special recognition for his drawing and painting was awarded to Animesh Kumar.

Hemprabha Shukla scholarship for deserving girl child was awarded to Soumita Saha, while the all-rounder student award was bagged by Priyanka Jha of Class 10.

Soham Maity, Zeeshan Zaman and Harjot Singh Chawla were given special awards for scoring 99 marks in history and civics.
