Ranchi, December 16: Government top priority is to let the welfare schemes reach the beneficiaries. The figures regarding the schemes are very encouraging but enthusiasm in the ground level among masses is not visible. Officers should take their duties seriously without negligence, advised chief minister Hemant Soren.
During the review of the progress of the ongoing development works in Deoghar and Godda districts at Deoghar council, Hemant Soren said, the government has given officials full autonomy to work, but negligence in execution of work would not be tolerated at any cost and might force the government to take action against officials.
The chief minister said that if needed, the government would review the execution of welfare schemes at the block and panchayat level as well.
Hemant Soren said that agriculture and animal husbandry are the pillars of the rural economy. It is the responsibility of the officers that the farmers, animal herders and laborers get full benefits of these schemes.
