ESNA holds meeting to boost Netball activities in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum Netball Association (ESNA) held an important meeting today to discuss the promotion and development of netball in the district. The meeting, chaired by Association President Anil Chaubey, saw active participation from sports teachers, coaches, and representatives from various schools across East Singhbhum.

Key discussions focused on reviving netball in the district, training new players, and organizing district-level competitions and training camps. President Anil Chaubey announced that a district-level netball competition is scheduled for the first or second week of October, open to interested schools from Jamshedpur and the district, as well as current and former netball players.

The first event will be a one-day camp and competition for boys and girls in the under-19 age group, to be held at the sports complex of People’s Academy Plus Two School, located in New Baradwari, Jamshedpur. Players from various schools will have the opportunity to showcase their skills, and selected players will be chosen to form the East Singhbhum district team for upcoming state-level competitions. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to the successful teams and players.

The meeting also included discussions on strengthening the district netball organization and efforts to introduce the sport in more schools. Plans to provide special trainers and create a conducive environment for the game were outlined, with the goal of increasing player participation and building a strong district team.

Among those who contributed to the success of the meeting were President Anil Chaubey, Secretary Rajesh Thakur, sports teachers Khushboo Vishwakarma, Narendra Kumar (RMS Balichela School), Virendra Kumar Mishra (Guru Govind Singh School, Telco), sports coaches SK Sharma, W. Rehman (Om Academy), M. Arshad, Priya Dutt, Pooja Kumari, and Aayushi Nidhi, along with many sports enthusiasts.
