ESIC Intensifies Free Health Screening Programme for Workers Above 40 in Jharkhand

Jamshedpur: In an initiative aimed at strengthening preventive healthcare for industrial workers, the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has intensified its free Annual Health Check-up programme for insured workers above 40 years of age across Jharkhand.

As part of the campaign, Regional Director Shivendra Kumar and Assistant Director Vinay Kumar Jaiswal visited the ESIC Hospital in Adityapur to review the implementation of the health screening programme and inspect the medical examination facilities being provided to insured persons (IPs).

During the inspection, the officials assessed the ongoing health check-up process and ensured that all eligible insured workers were receiving proper medical examinations under the scheme. The initiative has been launched to facilitate early detection and prevention of serious illnesses among workers above the age of 40.

Following the hospital inspection, the ESIC officials, along with Medical Superintendent Dr. P.K. Singh, visited Tata Steel in Jamshedpur and addressed employees as well as vendor workers associated with the company. The officials highlighted the various benefits available under the ESIC scheme and stressed the importance of regular annual health check-ups for industrial workers.

Regional Director Shivendra Kumar said that timely medical examinations can help identify serious diseases at an early stage, making treatment and prevention more effective. He urged employers to motivate all eligible employees to avail themselves of the health screening facilities under the ESIC programme.
