Chaibasa, June 12: West Singhbhum deputy commissioner Dr Shantanu Kumar Agarhari chaired a meeting at DC office in connection with a letter of chief Secretary Jharkhand government.
The meeting focused on the increment of gross enrolment ratio on higher education and to promote the women education. All the students who passed the plus two senior secondary education be ensured to get admission in nearby government colleges.
If they are unable to get admission in first shift then there education must be conducted in second shift. DC also constituted a committee which comprises of the principal of the college and Block education extension officer (BEEO) and warden of the concerning school to ensure registration of 12th passed students.
Degree colleges in Jagannathpur, Kumardungi and Monoharpur is to open in the current session and it was decided that DEO and the representatives of Kolhan University would make alternative arrangements. Present at the meeting were DEO, DES, BEEOs and wardens of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya.
