Jamshedpur, May 19: Recruitment will be done for young engineers in Tata Steel.

In this recruitment taken out by Tata Steel, the selected engineer will be reinstated as an engineer trainee for one year. If their performance during the training is good, they will be reinstated as an Assistant Manager (IL-6) level officer for three years as a fixed term employment.

The applicant should be a final year student of BE, B.Sc Engineering. Must be a student of civil & structural, ceramics, chemical, electrical, electronics, instrumentation, power electronics, mechanical, environment engineering, metallurgy, mineral, mining, beneficiation engineering, production engineering, industrial, mechatronics and geoinformation.

Apart from this, those who do MTech or MSc in geology, geophysics, remote sensing and GIS will also be selected. The applicant should have a three-year diploma or two-year engineering degree, while BE, B.Tech, B.Sc should be a final year student of engineering. A person who has studied in an institute recognized by AICTE or UGC will be selected.

General candidates must have secured at least 6.5% or 65% marks in CGPA. Transgender, PWD, SC-ST applicant must have secured at least 6.0 CGPA or 60% marks. Preference will be given to the domicile of Jharkhand and Odisha only. The age of the applicant should be 30 years as on June 1, 2023 and the age limit of transgender, Divyang, SC and ST candidates should be 32 years as on June 1, 2023.

After being selected as an Engineer Trainee, a stipend of Rs 30,000 per month will be given. Engineer trainee will get the facility of Mediclaim, which will be Rs 2.50 lakh annually and OPD expenses will be given Rs 6 thousand. If he is selected after the training is over, he will be reinstated on a CTC of Rs 7 lakhs annually.

Selected candidates can be posted anywhere. The reinstatement will be done only after checking the documents. At any stage, if an applicant is found ineligible after being selected, he can be removed immediately. Employees of Tata Steel cannot submit their application for this. After this, an interview will also be conducted in a virtual manner, after which the final selection will be done.
