Jamshedpur, Sept 16: Engineers Day was celebrated in the auditorium of RVS College of Engineering and Technology in a befitting manner. The chief guest on the occasion was Plant Head of Yajaki India Pvt Ltd Ramesh Pratap Singh while the guest of honour was JSERC member and Chief Engineer RN Singh from Ranchi. The guests were welcomed by the institution�s Treasurer Shatrughan Singh. Others on the dais were Abhishek Singh, Dean Dr Rajesh Tiwary and ECE Departmental Head Prof Rakesh Kumar Singh.
In his address to the students, Ramesh Pratap Singh observed, �This day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshgundam Visveswaraiya. He should be your beacon light and you should emulate him and attain the same measure of greatness.�
An exhibition of 16 posters and 28 working models was inaugurated on the occasion. Some of the exhibits came In for all round appreciation. Selected model makers were awarded prizes for their engineering skills. The vote of thanks was offered by Prof Poulomi Ganguly.
