Chaibasa: There is news of an encounter between Naxalites and security forces in Chaibasa, Jharkhand. Many Maoists are reported to be injured in the encounter. According to the information received, the encounter took place in the forests under the highly Naxal-affected Goilkera police station area of Chaibasa district.
It is said that several rounds of bullets were fired from both sides. Till the time of writing the encounter, the encounter was going on in the forests of Hathiburu Kuria.
According to reports, the security forces engaged in anti-Naxal operation had gone on a search operation in the early hours of Friday when the Maoists who had already ambushed them opened fire on the soldiers. The soldiers also took the stand and retaliated, in which many Maoists are reported to have been injured.
