Jamshedpur: Excel India Model School at Birsanagar organized a sit and draw competition at the Moharda Odiya School Ground in which hundreds of children participated. The competition was inaugurated by chief guest, social worker and industrialist Kevar Prasad Rao. The invitees included Sudhir Kumar Singh, Purno Da, Niranjan Singh, Sonam Kumari and Kamlesh Tiwary.
The contestants were divided into several groups. The theme was environment and the children projected their concepts intelligently and artistically. All the contestants were presented colour pencils and toffees by the guests. The purpose of the contest was to arouse environmental care.
The organizing team lead by Excel India Model School principal Mamata Kumari included teachers Subhadra Kumari, Dulari Besra, Kavita Nayak, Manjulata Kayasth, Pinki Kumari, Mukti Dey, Punam Tiwary, Abhimanyu Singh, Shila, Satyavati, Kavita Sahu, Jyoti, Kiran, Anita Sharma, Sumi Das, Rekha and others.
