Sankarsan Nayak takes charge as senior DGM of SER

Kolkata, Feb. 5: Sankarsan Nayak took over as the Senior Deputy General Manager & Chief Vigilance Officer of South Eastern Railway on 1st February, 2019. Prior to this, Nayak was the Chief Track Engineer, East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar. After completion of B.Sc. in Engineering, Nayak joined Indian Railways in the year 1988 (IRSE, Batch-1986). Nayak has worked in various important capacities in Indian Railways viz. Divisional Engineer (Construction), Dy. Chief Engineer (Construction), Senior Project Manager, Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination), General Manager/ RITES, Chief Engineer (Construction) etc. During his distinguished career, Nayak has been recognized with various Railway Awards at National and Zonal level for his outstanding performance. He has keen interest in sports and socio-cultural activities.
