Eight Railway employees sacked for creating ruckus

Jamshedpur: Railway department has terminated the services of eight railway employees who allegedly created ruckus in Kharagpur over the suicide of an assistant loco pilot Guddu Kumar Keshri.
Sources said an FIR was registered against unidentified persons for vandalizing railway property to protest the alleged refusal by senior railway officials to grant leave to Kesri who allegedly committed suicide in a railway quarter in Kharagpur. Kesri was a resident of Hazaribagh. He had applied for leave to see his ailing mother. But his application was rejected, sources said.
Sources said the zonal Railway authorities are trying to identity the employees who led the agitation after Kesri�s suicide. The agitating employees had gone on rampage to demand leniency in grant of leaves.
