Jamshedpur: Sitaramdera turned into a battle ground on Thursday following a group clash over a petty dispute at the Mango bus stand. The unrest was triggered by an altercation between the owner of a bus and the priest of a local temple at the bus stand.
Both sides reached Sitaramdera police station to lodge an FIR against each other. But soon after reaching the police station, both sides again fell out, leading to further pandemonium. A huge deployment of police was made the scene. Later, DSP KN Mishra reached the spot and ordered lathi-charge to disperse the mob. Eight persons were injured in the lathi-charge.
