Gua: In a bid to improve the existing educational facilities available in the area, Ghatkuri Iron Ore Mines (OMM Adhunik Steel Company) has appointed several teachers to educate local children.
Many local schools are providing quality education, thanks to the efforts put in by the company management.
The general manager of the company Anjani Kumar Mishra said the company wanted to make sure that best educational amenities were available to the children.
He said education and livelihood were complementary for many people in the area. Hence the company was trying its best to ensure that children go to school without compromising for livelihood opportunities for their families.
Such children are being provided school bags, dress and sweets. Mishra further said that the company had provided free bus service to the workers from Gua to Rowam. He said every year the company was planting around 40,000 trees to conserve the environment.
