Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Women’s University marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Kharkai Auditorium, Aryabhatta Advanced Computer Lab, and Smart Seminar Hall, by Education Minister Champai Soren at the Bistupur Campus. Shri Soren, the Chief Guest for the event, received a warm welcome highlighted by local tribal dance performances and applause from NSS students.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamps and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a vibrant Kulgeet performance by Dr. Sanatan Deep and the Music Department, which energized the audience. Shri Champai Soren was honoured with a certificate, shawl, memento, and plant by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta.
The Minister’s address commended the university’s progress and emphasized the role of education in Jharkhand’s development. He noted that advancements in education, health, and agriculture are crucial for the state’s growth.
Dr. Salomi Kujur, the program coordinator, shared insights on the university’s development and future plans. The event concluded with the national anthem, instilling a strong sense of patriotism among attendees. The inaugural ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Kishwar Ara, Finance Officer Dr. Javed Ahmed, and other university staff and students.
