ECI team in Ranchi to brainstorm on Jharkhand assembly poll preparedness

Ranchi, July 10: Senior deputy Election Commissioner Dharmendra Sharma, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Nitesh Kumar Vyas and Principal Secretary Arvind Anand reached Ranchi on Wednesday evening.

At Birsa Munda Airport, Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar, SPNO Amol V Homkar, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Neha Arora along with senior officials of Ranchi district welcomed them. On July 11, the team of the commission will brainstorm in Patratu regarding the Jharkhand assembly elections.

The team of the Election Commission of India will review with all the district election officials about the ongoing work under the second special summary revision program 2024 of the voter list in Jharkhand in the auditorium located at Patratu Tourism Vihar on Thursday.

Assembly elections in Jharkhand can be held along with Maharashtra, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. Such speculations are being made. Whether there will be early assembly elections in the state or not, a decision can be taken on July 11.

On July 11, the Election Commission team will hold a meeting with the Deputy Commissioners of all 24 districts of Jharkhand and take a report from them. After this, the team will assess whether early assembly elections can be held in Jharkhand or not. Then the Election Commission team will submit its recommendation to the top officials of the Election Commission.
