Jamshedpur, July 21: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur West organized e-waste awareness campaign for the students of Tata Workers Union High School, Kadma. The program, which aimed to educate students about the proper disposal of electronic waste, was coordinated by representatives from Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd, an e-waste management company.
During the event, the company’s representative, Pritha, gave a detailed explanation of the company’s performance and its initiatives in repurposing e-waste. The students were enlightened about the importance of recycling electronic items like old TVs, phones, laptops, and other electronics.
Club members collected e-waste from the participants, encouraging responsible disposal practices. The president of Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur West, Babita Kedia expressed gratitude to Hulladek representatives for their support.
In attendance were District ISO Nibha Mishra, Vice President Sanobar Hasan, Ex-President Urvashi Verma, and Purabi Ghosh, along with teachers and 100 enthusiastic children from the school.
The engaging and informative awareness program left a positive impact on the young minds, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and the significance of managing electronic waste appropriately.
