Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Wednesday held a meeting with Excise Commissioner, Ranchi, and liquor licence holders and prospective licence seekers.
The DC said the allotment of retail liquor shops in the coming financial year would be done through e-lottery. He also informed the participants about the new excise policy of Jharkhand government. He said those interested in getting retail liquor licence may apply online till 4th March. Allotment would be done through e-lottery on 5th March, he said.
The DC said e-lottery would be conducted to bring about transparency in the allotment process.
