Jamshedpur: The first day of the three-day spiritual discourse ‘Nani Bai Ro Mayro’ witnessed an overwhelming response in Sakchi, as renowned spiritual orator Jaya Kishori mesmerized thousands of devotees with her expertly modulated narration. The event has been organized by Narayani Seva Trust Jamshedpur at the Chandulal Ashok Kumar Bhalotia Auditorium, located at Bodhi Mandir Ground near Rajendra Vidyalaya.

Delivering her discourse from the Vyas Peeth, Jaya Kishori captivated the audience with the divine tale of Narsi Mehta, emphasizing his unwavering faith and complete surrender to the Almighty. Through her melodious voice and devotional hymns dedicated to Lord Krishna, she created an atmosphere of deep spiritual connection and devotion among the audience.

Setting the context of the narrative, she began by reflecting on how a girl’s life transformed after marriage, which formed the emotional core of the story of Narsi Mehta and his daughter Nani Bai. She highlighted Narsi’s simplicity, his compassionate nature, and his constant remembrance of the Lord’s name as the essence of true devotion. According to the discourse, Narsi Mehta, who was deaf and mute in his childhood, was blessed with speech through divine grace, symbolizing the transformative power of faith.

Elaborating further, Jaya Kishori narrated how despite facing extreme poverty and hardships, Narsi Mehta never wavered in his devotion. His steadfast belief ultimately invoked divine intervention, as Lord Krishna Himself was believed to have assumed Narsi’s form to fulfill the ceremonial obligations (Mayra) for Nani Bai’s in-laws—providing far more than expected. She described this episode not merely as mythology but as a profound illustration of how unwavering faith could lead to miraculous outcomes.

The discourse deeply resonated with the audience, reinforcing the idea that a true devotee, regardless of life’s challenges, ultimately attained the grace of the Divine. The gathering, which saw the participation of over 3,000 devotees, remained engrossed throughout the session, with the entire pandal filled to capacity.

Prior to the commencement of the Katha, traditional rituals including Ganesh Vandana, Kalash Sthapana, Navagraha Puja, and worship of the Vyas Peeth and Thakur Ji were performed. The ceremonies were conducted by Abhishek Tiwari, who had arrived from Kolkata. Jaya Kishori was accorded a grand welcome upon her arrival and seating on the Vyas Peeth.

The discourse series will continue until April 2. On the second day, the audience will be presented with episodes such as the arrival of the Kumkum Patrika, Narsi Mehta’s journey to Anjar Nagar, and his divine meeting with Lord Krishna.
The successful organization of the first day’s event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of several members of the Narayani Seva Trust, including president Rajkumar Chanduka, Rajkumar Sanghi, Kailash Saraiwala, Vijay Mittal, Anil Naredi, Lalit Saraiwala, Naveen Poddar, Kishan Sonthalia, Abhishek Bhalotia, Rohit Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal ‘Goldie’, Ram Ratan Kauntia, Sameer Diwan, Ajay Khemka, Ajay Agarwal, Neha Sonthalia, Megha Chaudhary, Kritika Gupta, Rinki Bhalotia, Vijay Lakshmi Bhalotia, Sneha Agarwal and other prominent contributors.
