Dusk shooting in Jamshedpur’s Mango, BJP leader fired at, criminal shot dead

Jamshedpur, Oct 01: Criminals rained bullets at dusk spreading panic in the entire Mango area on Thursday. Criminals first fired bullets at BJP leader Rajesh Singh at Dimna Chowk and then moments later shots echoed near Khadia Basti on Dimna Road as criminals targeted and shot dead fugitive offender and accused in many cases Shanky Yadav. His body was found near Khadia Basti.

Four bullet marks were found on his body. According to reports Shanky had also been bludgeoned with stones. Besides other cases, Shanky was also accused of firing at BJP leader Rajesh Singh�s house.

The police recovered the fugitive criminal�s body and sent it for autopsy. The police has launched a manhunt to nab the criminals who resorted to random firing along Dimna Road in Mango.

Many cases of firing and ransom seeking have been filed in various police stations of the city against Shanky Yadav. The police had declared him a fugitive.

They had arrested him in October 2019 and sent him to jail. He had been released from prison a few months earlier.

The question that is looming large now is who was responsible for shooting him dead and the reason behind the killing.

As of now, the police have launched an intensive search for the criminals. They have sealed off Mango area and are conducting search operations to prevent the killers from getting away.

Shanky was a resident of Baliguma. The firing of shots at BJP leader Rajesh Singh and a while later, the shooting down of the man who had allegedly shot at him on an earlier occasion are this early evening�s incidents that constitute elements of a spine chilling whodunit.
