Durga Puja in September, early preparations underway in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 4:  With Durga Puja scheduled earlier than usual this year in September, the Jamshedpur Durga Puja Central Committee has begun its preparations in advance. On Wednesday, a delegation from the committee met Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Piyush Pandey to brief him on the upcoming festival plans and seek administrative support.

The delegation, led by General Secretary Ashutosh Singh, welcomed SSP Pandey with a shawl and a bouquet, introducing him to the committee’s structure and working style. Singh emphasized the need for timely planning due to the early festival date and discussed challenges faced during past pujas.

The SSP assured the delegation that the district administration would extend full cooperation and ensure improved arrangements for this year’s celebrations.

The delegation comprised President Bhupendra Singh, Vice President Paramatma Mishra, Dharmendra Prasad, Nandlal Singh, Bhishma Singh, Pramod Tiwari, Shambhu Mukhi, Ashok Sinha, Nandji Singh, Vijay Vardha, and Raghavendra Mishra, among others.
