Drones on vigil during Ramnavami procession in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 11: East Singhbhum district administration here made elaborate security arrangements across the city in view of Ramnavami procession. Drone cameras were pressed into service to keep vigil at various places around the city. CCTV cameras installed at various places also came handy to the city cops who monitored the movement of Ramnavami Akharas at the Composite Control Room (CCR) in Sakchi.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vijaya Jadhav and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) M Tamil Vanan led the administration teams deployed at strategic locations during the procession. They issued instructions to the subordinate officers to keep an eye on hooligans.

Earlier this morning, the DC visited Swarnarekha and Kharkai river banks to see arrangements for immersion procession.

Barricading was done at all the sensitive places across the city and huge deployment of armed police and paramilitary jawans was made everywhere to enhance police visibility.

District administration had pulled its socks several days back in a bid to ensure peaceful Ramnavami celebrations in the city.

Several rounds of meetings with police station level peace committees were held to ensure public cooperation.
