Drive against unauthorized parking continues in Jamshedpur, 21 vehicles seized

Jamshedpur: To streamline traffic management in the urban areas of Jamshedpur, the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner, Ananya Mittal, has directed a strict no-parking enforcement drive. On its fifth consecutive day, the operation was led by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Dhalbhum, Shatabdi Majumdar, and focused on areas like Jubilee Park, the Collectorate Roundabout, and the vicinity of Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.

During the operation, 20 two-wheelers and one four-wheeler parked in no-parking zones were seized, and fines were imposed on the violators.
Speaking about the campaign, SDM Majumdar emphasized that the enforcement drive will continue to ensure smooth vehicular movement on city roads. She reiterated that parking in no-parking zones is a violation of traffic regulations, and those caught doing so will face strict penalties.
“Citizens are urged to cooperate with the administration in keeping the city traffic congestion-free. The situation has already improved, and with everyone’s responsible participation, we can achieve better results. Avoid parking in no-parking zones and contribute to making Jamshedpur a jam-free city,” she added.
The enforcement team included Executive Magistrate Chandrajit Singh, Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI)  Suraj Hembram, Traffic Inspectors, and other officials and personnel.
