Jamshedpur: The Takht Management Committee has initiated extensive arrangements to celebrate the 358th Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the founder of the Khalsa Panth and the tenth Sikh Guru. The festivities will begin with Prabhat Pheris from December 25 to January 4, culminating in a grand Nagar Kirtan on January 5.
The Nagar Kirtan will commence at 1 PM from Gurudwara Sahib Gaughat, led by the holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj under a canopy and escorted by the Panj Pyare. The procession will feature bands, schoolchildren, horses, camels, Gatka performances, and Nihang groups.
Kulwinder Singh, an advocate and former secretary of Guru Gobind Singh Girls High School, shared that the management team, led by President Jagjot Singh Sohi and General Secretary Inderjit Singh, is conducting regular meetings with administrative officials and social groups to ensure a smooth event for devotees arriving from across the globe.
According to General Secretary Inderjit Singh, a Kirtan Darbar will be organized at Takht Shri Harmandir Sahib Ji and Gurudwara Sahib Gaughat from January 4 to January 6. Renowned personalities, including Baba Harnam Singh, head of Damdami Taksal, and other prominent leaders of Sikh sects, will grace the event.
The grand celebrations will witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar Governor, Chief Minister, and other dignitaries. Esteemed musicians and preachers, including Bhai Satendra Singh, Principal Sukhwant Singh, Bhai Chamanjit Singh Lal, and Anant Veer Singh from England, along with the Anhad Bani Naad Jatha of Baru Sahib, will engage devotees in spiritual bliss.
On January 4 at 3 PM, Amrit Sanchar will take place at Takht Sahib, offering devotees the opportunity to partake in the Amrit.
The Bihar government and Takht management are coordinating lodging arrangements for devotees. To facilitate travel, all trains passing through Patna Sahib railway station from December 29 to January 12 will halt for five minutes. Additionally, a computerized reservation counter will be set up at the Takht Shri Harmandir Sahib Ji Patna Sahib complex to assist devotees.
