Jamshedpur, Feb. 11: The police arrested a dreaded criminal Hussain Ali from Mango on Thursday morning. A resident of Old Purulia Road at Zakirnagar in Azadnagar, Ali (better known as Pilpil Pappu) was wanted in an assault case registered with the Mango police station on Saturday last.
Pappu (35) along with three of his associates had assaulted the owner of a lodge, Gulf Rest-House, Sabir Sheikh, and had looted Rs 9,000 from the cash-counter. The police presented the accused before a judicial magistrate t and by 12.30 pm Pappu was forwarded to the Ghaghidih Jail.
Pappu had been carrying out the criminal activities in Mango areas since the past 10 years and is facing over a dozen of criminal cases, including murder, loot, highway robbery, extortion and the Arms Act in Mango and Azadnagar police station areas.
