Dr. Rashmi Kumari, accused of classroom assault, earns coveted PG Head position

Jamshedpur, Oct 20: Dr Rashmi Kumari, a teacher embroiled in a classroom assault controversy at Graduate College, has been appointed as the PG Head of Political Science at Kolhan University. Previously, she was transferred to Kashi Sahu College, Seraikela, while her co-accused, need-based assistant professor Dr. Pooja Sinha, was relocated to JLN College, Chakradharpur. The swift appointment of Dr. Rashmi Kumari to a prestigious position within the university has raised questions, especially while the investigation into the incident is still ongoing. The matter has now reached Raj Bhavan for further scrutiny.

The incident in question involved a heated altercation between two teachers from the Political Science Department in front of female students at The Graduate School College for Women. Dr. Rashmi Kumari sustained injuries during the altercation and was subsequently hospitalized. Dr. Rashmi Kumari holds a permanent position, whereas Dr. Pooja Sinha is a need-based assistant professor. Following the incident report, the university formed an investigative team. After the inquiry, both teachers were transferred to colleges situated in different districts.
