DPRO helps visually impaired enroll for Aadhaar card

Jamshedpur, September 20: District Public Relation Office (DPRO) on Tuesday organised Aadhaar card enrolment camp at National Association for Blind (NAB) premises in Baradwari.

At the camp the blind people associated with the association were enrolled for Aadhar card who for some or the other reason have not been registered.

On Tuesday morning, DPRO Sanjay Kumar along with technical team and necessary equipments reached the venue. Due to absence of eyelids, there is a special biometric input method for Aadhar registration for the blind.

On the same method, 11 year-old Balbir Kaur, daughter of refugee colony resident Savinder Singh, 8 year-old Adarsh Kumar Thakur, son of telco resident Saryu Thakur, Shri Ram Thakur the 12 year-old son of Bharat Thakur of Azad Nagar, 10 year-old Chotu Kumar Thakur along with President of the Association 53-year-old Pritpal Singh and others were registered for Aadhar card.

The applicants seemed quite happy after the registration process. On the occasion, President of the Association, Pritpal Singh the camp for the Aadhar registration will help the blind with direct benefit transfer of various welfare schemes of the government.

Mango resident Md. Altaf provided necessary technical support in conducting the camp were Anup Kundu, Md. Zahid, Virender Dogra, Bharat Thakur and others were present.
