Jamshedpur: In a shocking incident from Harharguttu under Parsudih police station area, a domestic dispute escalated into a brutal assault, leaving a woman seriously injured.
The victim, identified as Rinku Devi, who resides near Mathura Seth’s house, was allegedly attacked by her mother-in-law and brother-in-law with sticks. She sustained a severe head injury during the assault and was initially rushed to Sadar Hospital in Khasmahal.
Owing to her critical condition, doctors later referred her to a higher medical centre for advanced treatment.
According to the victim, the incident occurred in the morning while she was cooking.
An argument reportedly broke out, during which her mother-in-law and brother-in-law began verbally abusing her. When she protested, they allegedly thrashed her mercilessly with sticks. Rinku further claimed that she and her family were also threatened with dire consequences.
Following the incident, the accused fled the scene. Police have launched a search operation to apprehend them.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family remains in a state of fear and has appealed for swift justice.
