Jamshedpur, August 22: MGM Hospital remained closed for outpatient services (OPD) for the seventh consecutive day as doctors continue their strike in protest against the recent rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata. The ongoing strike has seen more than sixty doctors participating in a dharna (protest) at the hospital, chanting slogans such as “We want justice.”

The strike has led to a significant increase in patients at the emergency department, with the number of cases tripling. In response, the hospital management has doubled the number of doctors on emergency duty to handle the surge in patient numbers and provide necessary medical care.
