
Kolkata, June 27 : �PATH�, the popular Hindi Theatre group from Jamshedpur, made its debut in Kolkata staging its production DO KAUDI KA KHEL at Gyan Manch on June 26, 2019. Directed by Md. Nizam the play which is an adaptation of Berthold Brecht�s �The Three Penny Opera� received an overwhelming response from the theatre connoisseurs and drama lovers of Kolkata. Being a comical satire, the play could connect with the entire audience who were provided wholesome entertainment and much food for thought. An initiative by Kolkata�s leading English Theatre group �Theatrecian� and �Take 5 Communications�, also a Kolkata based creative house, the event marked the beginning of PATH�s journey in Kolkata as the group intends to stage many more productions in the city of joy in future.
�It has been a dream- come true for us as we nurtured a desire of performing in Kolkata.� said Md. Nizam at the end of the show. Tathagata Bhattacherjee, chief of Take 5 Communications, thanked the Kolkata audience for turning out in a large number for the show and announced that the Jamshedpur-Kolkata collaboration to promote Hindi Theatre in Kolkata would continue. Theatrecian�s Tathagata Chowdhury expressed his interest to present good Hindi Theatre from Jharkhand under his banner for a diverse theatre environment in the city.
�DO KAUDI KA KHEL� had a promising start in Bengal and it is to be seen whether the creative process would go on to assume greater and more effective dimensions with the passage of histrionic times.
