Tribal Residential School wins Subroto Mukherjee Football tourney

Jamshedpur, June 27:  Jharkhand government’s Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs ministry is organsining block level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament. As part of the tourney under-17 boys and girls category football matches were played at Potka block ground on Thursday. In the boys category 12 teams participated. In the first match State Tribal Residential School defeated team Vidya Niketan plus Two High School Haldipokhar to be crowned the champion. In the girls category Upgraded High School Jahatu beat KGVB Potka to win the title. In the prize distribution ceremony Poyka block development officer Kapil Kumar awarded the winners and runners-up. To make the event successful Veer Pratap Murmu, Maghiya Soren, Ajbar Singh Sardar, Nunaram Tudu, Gagan Mardi, Ramchandra Murmu, Khagen Sardar, Dashrath Sardar, Gagan Majhi, Gorang Sardar, Ramchandra Murmu, Manu Hembrom and others played a vital role.
