DLSA organizes legal awareness camp for aged people in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, 24 March: The children of aged people have a legal duty to look after their parents. In case they neglect them and do not take good care of their parents, they may be legally compelled to do so and are also liable to be punished by the court of law. This was observed by Rajeev Kumar, one of the speakers, at a legal awareness camp organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jamshedpur, in Kalimati East panchayat of Jamshedpur block on Sunday.

Many local residents were present at the camp. The speakers of the camp informed them about their legal rights and duties. They appealed to aged people to approach DLSA to seek legal aid in case they fail to get the support and affection of their loved ones.

Many paralegal volunteers were also present at the camp. They threw light on the various development and welfare projects being run by the state government.

Among those present during the programme included Prabhu Ram Munda, Mangal Mukhi, Paresh Munda, Shankar Murmu, Basu Biruli and Pitambar Murmu.
