DLSA bats for physically challenged, old age, widow pensions

Jamshedpur, July 2: The District legal services Authority (DLSA) Jamshedpur in its drive to provide social security benefits to the poor and helpless segment, today had pension application forms for physically challenged and old persons and widows filled and deposited at the department concerned by PLV Anand Sao of Baharagora Block Legal Aid Clinic.

Anand Sao informed that many helpless persons including physically challenged and aged persons, widows had not availed of the various social security schemes in place for such segments. Citing examples, the PLV said, �Jyotsna Munda, widow of late Shiv Munda and Gopal Naik son of late Rasikanand Naik had filed old age pension application forms today. Similarly, Sumita Munda�s widow pension form too was filed. All the three are poor and until today, had not received the benefits of any social security scheme.�
