Jamshedpur, August 7: SDO Jamshedpur, Piyush Sinha chaired a meeting of the District Forest Rights Committee (DFRC) to examine and make decisions on various claims received from different regions under the Forest Rights Act 2006 and the amended norms of 2008 and 2012.
Detailed discussions were held on a total of 46 claims received from Potka Sub-Division, 2 from Mango, 2 from Patamda, 1 from Bodam, and 1 from Jamshedpur. After deliberations, it was decided to forward these 46 records to the District Level Forest Rights Committee.
Assistant Forest Conservator of Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary, Assistant Forest Conservator of Jamshedpur Forest Division, the Chief of Jamshedpur Sub-Division, Pani Soren, Mukhiya of Domjuri Panchayat in Potka, Anita Murmu, Mukhiya of Keruadungri Panchayat, and Kanhu Murmu from Jamshedpur were among those who participated in the meeting.
