Jamshedpur, August 7: Srinath University, Adityapur organised the Annual Orientation Programme ‘Srinath Shankhnaad 2023’ at the Tata Auditorium in XLRI, for the students of the academic year 2023- 2024. SSP East Singhbhum, Prabhat Kumar was the Chief Guest on the occasion while JAS Regional Director, JIADA, Adityapur Region, Prem Ranjan was the guest of honour. Dinesh Kumar Ranjan, Ex DTO, East Singhbhum and Seraikela Kharsawan, Prosenjit Roy, Senior GM East Domestic Market, Larsen and Toubro, Kolkata, Merlyn Ferdose Anklesaria, Senior Manager, Corporate Communication & CFE ,Tata Steel, Sushmakar Sinha, Chief Regional Head , Agency Sales, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, and Gurumurthy Gundanna , Manager Convenience, ITC were special guests at the ‘Shankhnaad’ programme.
Shambhu Mahato and Sandhya Mahato, Founders of Srinath University, Sukhdev Mahato, Chancellor of Srinath University, Dr Govind Mahato, Vice Chancellor of Srinath University, Gurudev Mahato, Pro-Chancellor of Srinath University, .Anita Mahato and Moumita Mahato, Trustees of Srinath University along with other dignitaries inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp.
Chief Guest and SSP East Singhbhum, Prabhat Kumar, in his address to the students and parents, remarked, “There is a very thin line between school education and that of college. In school, students are closely monitored and nurtured by parents and teachers but as they step into college life, students have the freedom to choose their own path.”
He advised the students to not to just sit back and dream of their opted careers but to take positive steps to convert their aspirations into reality. SSP Prabhat Kumar gave the example of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy who, after an essay through the crunching world of struggles, established what now is an international brand name. “Hard work, struggle and dedication yields success,” he said.
Prem Ranjan, J.A.S Regional Director, JIADA welcomed all the students and their parents to the new academic session. He advised them to focus on their career because this was the time that would decide their future.
Dinesh Ranjan , Ex DTO of East Singhbhum, Prosenjit Roy, Sr GM East, Domestic Market, Larsen and Toubro,Kolkata, and others had motivational words for the students to realise their aspirations.
Merlyn Ferdose Anklesaria, Senior Manager, Corporate Communication and CFE , Tata Steel observed, “It is time to explore yourself. Spread your wings and enjoy your freedom but be focused on excelling your career. The future is quite demanding and challenging, but be positive in whichever field you chose to pursue and the end result will be success.”
Chancellor Sukhdev Mahato, provided a deep insight into the courses run at the University and spelt out the future prospects of the University. He enlightened the students with the mission and vision of Srinath University.
VC Dr Govind Mahato, while welcoming the freshers and their parents, observed, “We are committed to providing excellent education to all our students and are excited to have you join us. We believe that every student is capable of reaching full potential and we will do our best to support and motivate you to do so. We recognise the importance of extracurricular activities and encourage our students to take part in a variety of outdoor activities.”
J Rajesh, Dean (Administration) of Srinath University delivered the oath of the Orientation Programme 2023.
The Senior Students presented a group dance which depicted the different cultures of India. Pro Chancellor Gurudev Mahto offered the vote of thanks.
