District Agriculture Officer inspects schemes in Patamda Block

Jamshedpur, May 21: Mithilesh Kumar Kalindi, the District Agriculture Officer, visited several areas of the Patamda block today to assess the progress of various departmental schemes. He toured villages including Macha, Vidra, Mahulbana, and Ghaghra to witness the ongoing work.

During his visit, Kalindi inspected the construction of the Farmers’ School at the Patamda Seed Multiplication Field. He also examined the Garma Moong cultivation carried out by a farmer in Mahulbana village. Additionally, he reviewed the final stages of the construction of a percolation tank in Ghaghra village by the District Soil Conservation Department. Farmers who have benefited from the newly constructed irrigation source expressed their satisfaction.

The District Agriculture Officer highlighted that the Integrated Birsa Village Development Scheme, along with the Farmer School, is being implemented in the seed multiplication area in Bidra of the Patamda block. This comprehensive scheme encompasses various agricultural activities such as farming, horticulture, fisheries, and dairy, aiming to centralize these operations in one location. The successful implementation of this government initiative is a priority. The responsibility of operating the Krishak Pathshala (Farmer School) has been entrusted to Pragati Education Academy in Ranchi. The renovation of buildings, ponds, and irrigation wells within the designated area is also planned to improve irrigation sources. Kalindi was accompanied by Geeta Kumari, Deputy Project Director of ATMA and officials from Pragati Education Academy, Ranchi, during the visit.
