Jamshedpur, Nov 23: The message of celebration of love, harmony, goodwill and brotherhood permeated as Purvi Singhbhum Zila Marwari Sammelan (PSZMS) organized Holi Milan programme at Michael John Auditorium in Bistupur on Tuesday evening. The function was inaugurated by jointly by chief guests Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta and MLA Saryu Roy who extended their Dipawali greetings to all present. Nirmal Kabra, Ashok Bhalotia, Umesh Shah, Vishwanath Maheshwari, Murlidhar Kedia and Arun Bankrewal were also present on the occasion. The inauguration program was anchored by PSZMS General Secretary Arun Gupta.
Popular and local Bhajan singer Mahavir Agrawal set the tone of the evening with his melodious renditions that had Rajasthani flavor written all over. National poet from Nainital in Uttrakhand, Gauri Mishra, received thunderous applause from the audience for her recitation of poems she had composed.
PSZMS President Ashok Modi said, “Dwipawali symbolizes celebration of love and elimination of differences. We should endeavor jointly for the development of the community and engage more in social activities.” General Secretary Arun Gupta said, “Dwipawali festival is the symbol of our culture that has been celebrated through time immemorial. Festivals teach us to live with love, harmony and brotherhood.”
