Jamshedpur’s Dimna Lake, Jubilee Park, Zoological Park among tourist spots to be showcased at International Trade Fair in Delhi

Jharkhand state day at International Trade Fair today

Ranchi, Nov 23: Jharkhand state day will be celebrated today (November 24) at India International Trade Fair in New Delhi.

The state pavilion will inform about city of falls and adventure in Jharkhand to the visitors at the trade fair.

“State is blessed with abundant biodiversity, pleasant climate, rich cultural and historical heritage, religious sites and age-old tribal arts all these makes the state an attractive destination for tourists. The pavilion will highlight, Dimna Lake, Tata Steel Zoological Park, Hudco Lake, splendid forests, diverse wildlife, fascinating waterfalls, exquisite handicrafts, adventure sports, spectacular lakes, enchanting classical music, folk dance and above all hospitality and peace loving,” said a source in public relation department.

Jharkhand Tourism Department has set up a stall in the Jharkhand Pavilion, on which a good crowd of people is being seen.

Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation manager Silky said that Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, is also known as “City of Falls”.

“There are four big and five small size waterfalls. In which the maximum height of Hundru Falls up to 98 meters and 10 different streams in Dasam Falls make it even more beautiful. Jharkhand state is famous for its religious places like Parshwanath Temple, Bhadra Kali Temple, Maluti Temple, Parasnath Temple, Rajrappa Temple and Deoghar. Tourists come here to watch the mesmerizing sunrise and sunset in Netarhat. Whereas elephants can be seen in Betla National Park. Betla National Park is also famous for Tiger Reserve Park. Jharkhand Tourism has built an adventure park at Patratu near Ranchi where one can enjoy adventure with children,” said JTDC official.

 Jharkhand, fast emerging as the new favorite destination, is now a popular hub for adventure sports. The lush green forests of Jamshedpur and Giridih make it ideal for jungle safaris, trekking, paddle boating and mountaineering. For rock climbing with scenic views, Chaibasa and Netarhat, Sikidiri and Dasam in Ramgarh are prominent. To enjoy exciting water sports, one can visit Kanke Dam, Rukka Dam, Patratu Dam and Dimna Lake for canoeing, kayaking and water skiing. Places like Morabadi, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Deoghar and Giridih provide the best experience to the tourists for the thrilling ride of hot air balloon. He told that Jharkhand tourism gives the work of hospitality to the people of the people around its dams and waterfalls, which creates good employment for them.

Director of Jharkhand Pavilion, Rajendra Prasad informed that Jharkhand State Day, which is being organized to display the folk culture of the state in every year’s fair, is being organized on Wednesday, 24 November. State drinking water and sanitation minister, Mithilesh Kumar Thakur would be the chief guest of the function.

Folk artists of Jharkhand will perform on the occasion of State Day.
