Jamshedpur: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has elected Diloo Parikh as Chairman of the CII Jharkhand State Council for 2026–27. The industry body also elected D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President (Corporate Services) at Tata Steel, as Vice-Chairman.
CII announced the new office bearers during the CII Jharkhand Annual Meeting 2026 held in Jamshedpur.
Diloo Parikh to Lead CII Jharkhand
Diloo Parikh, Director of Vaidehi Motors Pvt Ltd, will lead the industry body in the state for the coming year. A Jamshedpur native, Parikh is closely associated with the automobile sector through his family-run business, which operates dealerships for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and Tata Motors commercial vehicles.
Parikh has remained active in several industry associations. He earlier served as the Chairman of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) – Jharkhand. He also worked as an Executive Committee member of the Air Passengers Association of India (APAI).
Apart from his professional roles, Parikh enjoys collecting airplane models and playing golf.
Sundara Ramam Elected Vice-Chairman

CII also elected D B Sundara Ramam as Vice-Chairman of the Jharkhand State Council for 2026–27.
Ramam joined Tata Steel as a graduate trainee in 1990 after completing a BSc in Mining Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. Over the past three decades, he has worked in several roles across the company’s coal and iron ore mines, the raw materials division and the Ferro Alloys division.
He also served as the principal executive officer to the CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel. Currently, he heads Corporate Services at the company.
Ramam holds a First Class Mine Manager’s Competency Certificate in coal from the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS). He completed the General Management Programme at XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, in 1999. He has also attended several leadership programmes in the United Kingdom, Australia and France.
In addition, Ramam serves as President of the Mining Engineers’ Association of India and has authored papers on sustainable mining and innovation. He also sits on the governing boards of Tata Steel Minerals Canada and the Tata Steel Foundation.
Focus on Industrial Growth
Diloo Parikh said the CII Jharkhand State Council will work closely with industry stakeholders and the government to promote industrial growth, attract investment and improve the ease of doing business in the state.
