Jamshedpur, July 1: The Janata Road in Govindpur connecting the township to Gadra and Jadugoda has remained in a state of dilapidation for years and in spite of the district administration�s assurance last year of completing the repair work within 10 days continues to remain a promise as reflected in small and big puddles of pitter patter rain water prior to the �real� onset of monsoons. Neither pedestrians nor vehicles can move safely or conveniently on this important thoroughfare. Business is also taking a beating as customers find it difficult to negotiate this Janata Market Road for its pitiable condition.
Awesome India the social organization that had initiated an earlier move demanding construction of the road is bracing up for another go with the support of people. The organization�s national president Raushan Jha vide a press statement mentioned a connecting road joining Govindpur with Gadra and Jadugoda passes through Govindpur�s Janata Market. He stated that being a busy road, all types of vehicles ply on this route. He mentioned that this road has remained in a state of disrepair for a long time as a result of which people and business are being affected. Commuting on this road is risky, Jha stated. He wrote that during the monsoons, this road turned into a nightmare. Raushan Jha claimed in spite of several pleas and agitations the government has thus far failed to take any effective step.
