Govt committed to fulfill the basic needs of people: Champai Soren
Seraikela: In a novel way to ensure that the schemes of Government reach grassroot level, the district administration distributed Dhoti Lungi Saree among Bihor families.
Along with the online launch of Sona Sobran Dhoti Lungi and Saree scheme by Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the state level, the scheme was simultaneously launched in the district as well.
On this occasion, a grand launching ceremony was organized by the district administration at the Town Hall, Seraikela. Tribal Welfare and Transport Minister Champai Soren attended as the chief guest, Ichagarh MLA Savita Mahto, Kharsawan MLA Dashrath Gagrai, MLA Umashankar Akela, committee member Jharia MLA Poornima Neeraj Singh and Deputy Commissioner Arwa Rajkamal jointly inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
On this occasion, dhoti and saris were distributed by the guests among the Birhor families who came from far flung areas of the district.
Addressing the function, Champai Soren said that the state government under the leadership of the present Chief Minister Hemant Soren is determined for the all-round development of the villagers of Jharkhand. He said that the ambitious Sona Sobran Dhoti Lungi and Sari scheme has been launched by the State Government to meet the cloth requirement of the villagers. The benefit of which is being given to all the eligible beneficiaries living in extreme extremism affected remote and rural areas. All eligible ration card holders are being benefited by this scheme. The main objective of the government is to provide employment to the youth here.
Regarding which even during the second lockdown, the Hemant government has done the work of bringing the laborers working in other states back to their state by imposing a mini-lockdown and following the Corona guidelines and providing employment along with the operation of industries. Along with this, while arranging 75% employment reservation by private companies for tribal and indigenous local residents, the Hemant government has done the work of realizing Jharkhand becoming a separate state in the true sense.In his address, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Department of Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs, Jharkhand is distributing Dhoti, Lungi and Saree to the eligible household and Antyodaya families covered by the National Food Security Act under the Targeted Public Distribution System of the district. Under which the benefit of this scheme is being given to all the eligible ration card holders of the district. He said that for fulfilling the basic necessities of life, high quality sari, dhoti and loungi are being distributed by the government to all the eligible beneficiaries. The purpose of which is to make the concerned villagers financially empowered and self-reliant, while benefiting from the public welfare and ambitious schemes being run by the state government.
While addressing the program, Kharsawan MLA Dashrath Gagrai said that the main objective of this ambitious scheme of the government is to reach the people. Umashankar Akela said that the government is doing better work in the interest of the people of the state. Under which it is necessary to make the people of the state self-reliant.
