Dhanbad youth duped of Rs 20 Lakh in Job Scam

Dhanbad: In a public court convened by Dhanbad DC Varun Ranjan, grievances of the public were heard, and one alarming case emerged when Arvind Kumar from Gopinathdih Panchayat area approached the Deputy Commissioner to report a fraudulent job scheme. Arvind Kumar revealed that he had recently taken an examination for a peon position in the court, and shortly afterward, he received a call promising him the job.

The caller insisted that a payment of Rs 20 lakh would secure the position. Driven by greed and the promise of a guaranteed job, Arvind Kumar paid the sum but found himself deceived as the promised employment never materialized. Adding to the distress, the person who took the money is now making threats against Arvind’s life.

Taking immediate action, DC Varun Ranjan has directed the concerned officer to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and ensure appropriate action is taken against those responsible for the scam. The DC emphasized the importance of addressing such fraudulent activities promptly to protect citizens from falling victim to scams.
