Devotees perform Sahastraghat Jalabhishek Puja at Sakchi Shiv Mandir

 

Ganga Jal brought from Sultanganj to perform rituals

Jamshedpur, July 30: On the auspicious occasion of the month of Sawan, the Sahastraghat Jalabhishek Puja of Bhole Baba was performed for the third consecutive year at Shri-Shri Sakchi Shiv Mandir in Sakchi Bazar. Organized by Lalchand Agarwal and Bablu Agarwal of the Shiv Mandir Committee, along with their families, the event was organized in memory of their father, the late Vinod Kumar Agarwal.

Hundreds of devotees gathered to participate in the puja, using Ganga water brought from Sultanganj. The Shiva worship began at 10 am, and the Sahastraghat Jalabhishek was performed from 1 pm with 12,000 liters of Ganga water transported in a tanker. The special decoration and Maha Arati of Bhole Baba (Lord Shiva) commenced at 5 pm.

The temple reverberated with chants of ‘Om Namah Shivay,’‘Jai-Jai Bholenath,’ and ‘Har-Har Mahadev’ throughout the day, creating an atmosphere filled with religious fervor. Devotees thronged the temple continuously, partaking in the rituals and receiving prasad.

Thirteen priests, guided by Bipin Pandit, performed the rituals. The Agarwal family, Sakchi Shiv Mandir Committee, and local shopkeepers played significant roles in making the religious occasion a success.

Social workers Umesh Sah, Ashok Chaudhary, Suresh Kumar Kauntia, Raghunath Pandey, Girdhari Khemka, Sanwarmal Agrawal, Ashok Modi, Pankaj Chhavchharia, Arun Bankrewal, Nirmal Patwari, and Abhishek Agrawal Goldie were among those present at the event.
