Jamshedpur: Ministers, MLA inspect Howrah-Mumbai train accident site, announce compensation

Jamshedpur, July 30: On the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Health and Food Supply Minister Banna Gupta, Tribal Welfare Minister Deepak Birua, and local MLA Dashrath Gagarai visited the Barabambo train accident site by helicopter on Tuesday evening. After inspecting the scene, the ministers and MLA inquired about the details of the accident from officials.

Banna Gupta assured assistance to the victims, announcing that two lakh rupees would be provided to the families of the deceased and fifty thousand rupees to the injured from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He also directed to ensure better healthcare facilities for the injured. MLA Dashrath Gagarai expressed deep condolences for the loss of lives and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

 

Arjun Munda condoles death of two rail passengers

Jamshedpur, July 30: Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda expressed his condolences following the deaths of two passengers in the Barabambo train mishap. Munda, currently abroad, inquired about the incident from senior officials and urged them to provide the best possible healthcare for the injured.

Helpline numbers for Barabambo train accident

Seraikela, July 30: The Seraikela District Administration and Railways have released helpline numbers for information related to the relief and rescue operations following the Barabambo train accident. Helpline numbers 6204800965 or 8789080490 were to be contacted for updates and assistance.

Railways has provided numbers 73523, 0657-2290324, and 06587-238072 for information related to the accident.

DLSA assistance to injured train accident passengers

Seraikela, July 30: Following the train accident near Potobeda village in Kharsawan block, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) stepped in to assist the injured passengers. Acting on the instructions of Principal District and Sessions Judge cum Chairman of DLSA, Ramashankar Singh, Para Legal Volunteers Mukesh Kumar Sahu and Lakshmi Gunduwa were deputed to the scene of accident. As directed by DLSA Secretary Tausif Meraj, they provided care to the injured and distributed water bottles and biscuits to the injured and other passengers
