Desh Vandana Parv celebrated in Jadugora

Jamshedpur: Desh Vandana Parv was celebrated in Jharia village of Bhatin panchayat in Jadugora on Monday. The revelers beat mandar and nagada to celebrate the occasion. The chief guest of the event was the central general secretary of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Babulal Soren while the special guest was Zila Parishad member Hiramuni Murmu. They said the festival was celebrated to pay respect to oxen. They appealed to the villagers to preserve their ancient traditions and culture. The programme was conducted by Jharia Deshvandana Committee. It was also attended by Anil Tudu, Swapan Murmu, Ganesh Tudu, Gopal Tudu and Bharat Sardar.
