Jamshedpur: A one-day dengue training workshop was organized at the office of district civil surgeon, East Singhbhum, on Friday. ANMs, Sahiyas and employees of Filaria Control Unit participated in the training programme.
The workshop was mainly attended by Civil Surgeon Dr Maheshwar Prasad, Dr Arvind Kumar Lal and Sahil Paul.
Dr Prasad said the main purpose of organizing the workshop is to provide necessary skills to the health department employees in order to prevent malaria and other vector-borne diseases more effectively. He said in the year 2017, around 400 dengue cases were found in the city. In 2018, the number of dengue cases declined considerably, he said.
