Dengue prevention: Mango Municipal Corporation takes action, collects Rs 7,500 fine

Jamshedpur: In response to the growing dengue outbreak in various parts of Mango Municipal Corporation, Executive Officer Suresh Yadav spearheaded a comprehensive campaign today to combat the disease. The municipality implemented various measures to raise awareness and prevent dengue, resulting in the collection of fines totaling Rs 7,500.
To raise public awareness, the municipal authorities conducted miking across different areas of Mango Municipal Corporation, educating residents about dengue prevention measures.
Inspectors examined areas including Old Purulia Road, Azad Nagar, Zakir Nagar, Dimna Road, and Dimna Basti for dengue larvae. Those found with dengue larvae or waterlogging issues faced penalties.
As a proactive measure against dengue, the municipality conducted thermal fogging operations in several parts of the corporation area using specialized fogging machines.
To eliminate potential breeding grounds for dengue mosquitoes, municipal workers cleaned drains in various locations such as Dimna Road, Old Purulia Road, Azad Nagar, and Jawahar Nagar.
Thermal fogging operations were carried out at specific locations, including Sankosai, Old Purulia Road, Dimna Road, and Ulidih.
Rahul Kumar and other civic body employees, actively participated in the campaign to combat dengue.
In light of these efforts, Mango Municipal Corporation aims to curb the spread of dengue and protect the health of its residents.
