Heavy rains, thunderstorm forecast in Jamshedpur  

Jamshedpur / Ranchi, September 12: Light to moderate rain has been recorded in many parts of Jharkhand since Tuesday morning in Jamshedpur.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in the coming days due to the effect of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal.

Meteorologist Dr. Abhishek Anand of Ranchi Center on the weather forecast issued by IMD said that the effect of low pressure in the Bay of West Bengal is being seen in Jharkhand.

During this period, two trough lines are located in the Bay of Bengal via Jaisalmer, Ranchi and Digha. And secondly, due to the Uttar Pradesh trough line being situated in the Bay of Bengal from the Uttar Pradesh side, there is a rainy situation in Jharkhand.

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature of Jamshedpur was recorded at 34.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 26.8 degrees Celsius. Along with this, 0.4 mm rain has been recorded from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.

On 12 and 13 September, a warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm has also been issued in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi, Ramgarh, Bokaro, Khunti, Gumla, Simdega, West, East and Seraikela.

There is a possibility of drizzle in other parts. Yellow alert is issued regarding rain in West Singhbhum, Simdega, Khunti, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla on 14 September.

On September 15, a warning has been issued regarding rain in Gumla, Palamu, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Latehar, Gumla, Simdega, West Singhbhum of Jharkhand.

After this, there are chances of drizzle in the state on September 16.

Till now, 593.3 mm actual rainfall has been recorded in Jharkhand. Whereas last year till now 899.6 mm rainfall was recorded.

Rainfall is normal in three districts of Jharkhand – Godda, Sahibganj, Simdega  whereas in three districts East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela Kharsawan is around normal.

Along with this, less than normal rainfall is being seen in other 17 districts and much less than normal rainfall has been seen in Chatra.
