Jamshedpur, Mar 7: The demarcation of land for the construction of the Mango Municipal Corporation office and Mango Zone Office was successfully carried out in Baliguma under the supervision of Mango Zone Officer Brajesh Srivastava. The designated land, Khata No. 727, Plot No. 799, covering an area of 3.35 hectares, was measured and marked by zone employees and survey officials. According to official records, this land, located near DPS School, is uncultivated government property under the Jharkhand Government.

To ensure a smooth process and maintain order, Assistant Engineer of Swarnarekha Project, Nandlal Prasad, was deputed as a Magistrate by the Sub-Divisional Officer of Dhalbhum. No disputes or interruptions occurred during the demarcation.

Forest department’s involvement to be investigated

However, officials observed that the forest department had dug a trench on the demarcated land. Authorities have decided to seek clarification from the forest department to determine whether it claims ownership over the land.

Need for dedicated office spaces

Currently, Mango Municipal Corporation operates from the Gandhi Museum building in Gandhi Maidan, while the Mango Zone Office functions from the Halka office in Dimna. The establishment of Mango Municipal Corporation in 2017 and the Mango Zonal Office in 2018 highlighted the necessity for dedicated office spaces, making this land allocation a significant development.
